My name is Natalie, and I was lucky enough to have worked with Bernard when I got thrown in at the deep end as the D&T coordinator at Bartley Junior School many years ago. He was a lovely man who spent a lot of time with me to sort out what I did not understand. I remember him meeting with me at the tail end of a day when he had been really busy and I just appeared and asked for help. It was a few years later that I met a wonderful lady called Ann Cooper at Fryern Junior school who I soon found out was his wife! Both of them just as kind, caring and lovely as each other. A perfect match.

I am so sorry to hear that Bernard has passed away, and my thoughts are with Ann and Bernard's children and family.
